International Firm Continues to Grow Worldwide
Phil Verity and Stephen Eames
2010 has started with accelerated expansion for international accountancy firm Mazars, who have promoted two of their partners on the back of their continuing international growth. Stephen Eames has been promoted to Regional Managing Partner and Phil Verity, who previously held this role, has been promoted to the Mazars International Board. Both Stephen and Phil will still be based in the Milton Keynes office, helping to maintain the strong profile of the firm in a city that is becoming a hub for international commerce.
Stephen Eames will lead a region with 17 partners and directors across a range of services including audit, tax, corporate finance business recovery and consulting. The region stretches from the most westerly tip of Oxfordshire, through the Home Counties, covers the expanse of East Anglia and touches on north London and the south Midlands.
“I am pleased to move into the role of Regional Managing Partner. Having worked alongside Phil for the past few years I am looking forward to leading Mazars' to continued success and growth. In what has been a difficult period for all business I believe that with the strength of our team we are extremely well placed to capitalise on the upturn,” commented Stephen.
Over the past 18 months Mazars has been expanding by acquisition across the globe, with a particularly steep growth curve in South Africa. Although they already have centres within the USA, they are in advanced discussions with a New York based practice. This deal will make them the sixth largest accountancy practice in the USA.
Phil Verity is an executive member of Mazars in the UK. He has recently taken up the role of Global Business Leader for owner-managed business services, within the international Mazars Group.
